Looking for places where image and sound meet in intriguing ways, Hans Beckers has made numerous video and sound recordings for his new project ‘Clangdelum Cinematographica’ in Belgium, Germany, Romania, Croatia, China, Indonesia,…. Fascinating objects, machines, natural phenomena have been captured, keeping the focus on the sound of things and beings.  These recordings are the basis for a visual and musical composition that will be projected on three screens: an audiovisual triptych.  The musicality and poetics of the daily is revealed in a contemporary way. The viewer is taken on a journey through a very particular universe, where notions of time and space are effaced, where a play with association and dissociation takes place.

 
The final result is a performance, a ‘concert-film’ during which Hans Beckers will improvise live and interact with the images and the recorded sound material.
